Eligibility is strictly based on age and specific educational qualifications for each post.

The salary is as per Territorial Army and Indian Army norms, following the 7th Pay Commission.
Pay Scale: Starts at Level 3 of the Pay Matrix for a soldier.
Allowances: The basic pay is significantly increased by allowances such as:

House Rent Allowance (HRA) (Varies by city)
Transport Allowance (TA)
Military Service Pay (MSP), Field Area Allowances, etc., depending on posting.

The selection is rigorous and involves multiple stages conducted at the rally venue.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT):
1 Mile Run: Candidates are grouped by age, and marks are awarded based on completion time.
Pull-Ups: Marks are awarded based on the number of repetitions.
Balance & 9 Feet Ditch: These are mandatory qualifying tests.
Physical Measurement Test (PMT):
Verification of prescribed physical standards for height, weight, and chest.
Document Verification:
Scrutiny of all original and attested copies of required documents.
Medical Examination:
A comprehensive check to ensure the candidate is medically fit as per Army standards.
Written Examination (CEE - Common Entrance Examination):

The written exam (Common Entrance Examination - CEE) is an Objective Type paper with Negative Marking for incorrect answers.

The exam will have a negative marking system. Typically, 1/3rd (0.33) of the marks allotted for a question are deducted for every wrong answer. Be cautious while attempting questions.
