The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially released the notification for the recruitment of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN). This recruitment drive offers a significant opportunity with 5464 vacancies across various Central Government offices.

The application period for these positions commenced on 26 June 2025 and concluded on 24 July 2025. For candidates who need to make adjustments to their submitted forms, the SSC has announced a revised application correction window from 04 August to 06 August 2025.

Application Fee

The application fee structure is as follows:

Note: Payment can be made via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card, or Mobile Wallet. A correction fee of ₹200 for the first attempt and ₹500 for the second attempt will be applicable for making changes during the correction window.


Age Limit (as on 01 August 2025)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years

  • Maximum Age: 25 to 27 Years (depending on the specific post and category)

Age relaxation is applicable as per SSC norms for reserved categories. For MTS posts, candidates born between 02.08.2000 and 01.08.2007 are generally eligible (18-25 years). For Havaldar posts and certain MTS posts, the age limit is 18-27 years (born between 02.08.1998 and 01.08.2007). Refer to the official notification for detailed age relaxation rules.

How to Apply

The application process was conducted entirely online through the official SSC website. Offline applications were not accepted.

Selection Process

The selection process for SSC MTS / Havaldar recruitment comprises:

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) – This is mandatory for all posts.

SSC MTS 2025 Exam Pattern

The Computer-Based Examination (CBE) will consist of two sessions, both of which are mandatory. Failure to attempt any session will lead to disqualification.
