4. Eligibility Criteria

A. Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 years

  • Maximum Age: 25 years

  • Date of Birth Range: Must be born between January 2, 2001, and January 1, 2008 (both dates inclusive).

  • Relaxation: No age relaxation is permissible for any category.

B. Educational Qualification (Minimum Requirements)

Level 2/312th Pass (+2 stage) or equivalent. OR Matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship / ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT.
Level 110th Pass or equivalent examination OR ITI OR National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.

5. Salary, Pay Scale, and Benefits

The salary is based on the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) Pay Matrix.

  • Basic Pay: Corresponds to the respective Pay Levels (1, 2/3, and 4/5).

  • Allowances (Significantly increases Take-Home Salary):

    • Dearness Allowance (DA): To compensate for inflation.

    • House Rent Allowance (HRA): Varies based on the city of posting.

    • Transport Allowance (TA): To cover commuting costs.

  • Other Perks: National Pension System (NPS), comprehensive medical facilities (self and family), railway passes for travel, and opportunities for career advancement.

7. Selection Process

The process is merit-based, evaluating both sports skills and achievements out of a total of 100 marks.

A. Stage 1: Trials (Qualifying)

  • Process: A committee assesses game skills, physical fitness, and performance.

  • Marks Allocation: Out of 40 marks (under the "Game Skill, Fitness & Observation" head).

  • Qualifying Cut-off: Candidates must score at least 25 marks in the Trials to be declared ‘FIT’ and proceed to the next stage.

B. Stage 2: Assessment of Achievements and Education (Final Merit)

The final merit list is based on a total score of 100 marks, distributed as follows:

C. Final Step

  • Merit List: Final appointment based on the combined merit score.

8. Online Application Steps

    • Proof of DOB (10th Certificate), Educational Certificates, Sports Certificates, and Caste Certificate (if applicable).

  3. Login & Form Fill: Log in with the generated Registration Number and Password. Fill out personal, educational, and sports achievement details.

  4. Fee Payment: Pay the non-refundable portion of the application fee online.

  5. Upload Documents: Upload all scanned documents, photograph, and signature in the specified format and size.

  6. Review and Submit: Carefully review the entire application before the final submission.
