The eligibility has two main components: a mandatory language requirement and post-specific educational qualifications.
Knowledge of Punjabi: Candidates must have passed Punjabi at least at the Matriculation (10th) or equivalent level for all posts.
Assistant Engineer (AE)/Electrical: Full-time regular B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering in Electrical or E&E with 55% marks.
Junior Engineer (JE) (All Streams): Full-time regular 3/4 years Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline (Electrical/Civil/Communication) with 60% marks.
LDC/Typist & LDC/Accounts: Full-time regular Bachelor's Degree (B.Com for LDC/Accounts) with 50% marks AND a 120-hour computer course certificate.
Assistant Lineman (ALM): 10th Pass and a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in Lineman Trade.
Assistant Sub-Station Attendant (ASSA): Full-time regular ITI in Electrical/Electrician/Wireman trade with 60% marks AND 1-year apprenticeship experience (or a relevant Diploma with 60% marks).

Maximum Age: 37 Years
Age relaxation (e.g., 5 years for SC/ST and Backward Class, 10 years for PWD) is applicable only for candidates with Punjab Domicile.
The selection is based purely on the merit list prepared from the Online CBT marks, followed by Document Verification (DV).
The test is a single exam of 100 questions with 0.25 negative marking.
Concerned Subject: 50 questions
Punjabi Language Knowledge: 20 questions
General Knowledge/Awareness, Logical Reasoning/Quantitative Aptitude, General English: 30 questions (10 questions each)
Qualifying Marks: 50% for General, 40% for Reserve Categories.
The test has two parts:
Mandatory: 50 objective questions.
Qualifying: Candidates must score at least 50% (25 marks) to have Part-II evaluated.
No negative marking in Part-I.
100 objective questions with 0.25 negative marking.
LDC/Typist: Focus on General Knowledge (20), Punjabi Language (20), Basic Computer Knowledge (20), Reasoning/Aptitude (20), Numerical Aptitude (10), and General English (10).
Technical Posts (ALM, ASSA, etc.): 50 questions from the Concerned Course (Technical), and 50 questions from other non-technical sections.
