Gross Salary: The in-hand salary will be much higher than the basic pay due to additional allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA) (9% to 27% based on city), and Transport Allowance (TA).
Benefits: Employees receive benefits like NPS (National Pension System), medical facilities, and leave travel concessions.
Service Bond: Selected candidates must sign a bond to serve NHAI for a minimum of 3 years: ₹5.00 Lakhs for Group A posts and ₹3.00 Lakhs for Group B & C posts.
The selection process primarily involves a Computer Based Test (CBT), followed by either an Interview or a Skill Test, depending on the post.
Structure: For most posts, the CBT has two parts:
Part I (General Aptitude): Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Abilities, General Knowledge, and English Verbal Ability.
Part II (Domain Specific): Questions related to the specific subject/stream of the post (e.g., Accounting, Library Science, Translation).
Marking: +1 mark for correct, -0.25 marks for incorrect answers.
Stenographer Exception: For the Stenographer post, the CBT covers only Reasoning, GK, and English. There is no Domain Specific written paper.
Deputy Manager (F&A): Qualified candidates proceed to an Interview (Ratio 1:5).
Stenographer: Qualifiers appear for a Skill Test in Stenography (Qualifying only).
Other Posts: Selection is based on the CBT Merit followed by Document Verification.

The Computer-Based Test (CBT) generally has a total of 120 questions for 120 marks (2 hours duration), with 0.25 negative marking for every wrong answer.
This section is common across all posts (Deputy Manager, Accountant, JTO, Library Assistant, and Stenographer), though the weightage varies slightly.
