4. Eligibility Criteria
A. Educational Qualification
| Post Name | Required Qualification |
| Industry Inspector | Diploma in Engineering (excluding Civil/related branches) OR a Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc.). |
| Tax Assistant, Technical Assistant, & Clerk-Typist | Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. |
| Final Year Students | Can apply for the preliminary exam, but must have passed and possess the required qualification before the last date of application for the Main Examination. |
| Language | Knowledge of the Marathi language is essential for all posts. |
B. Typing Qualification (Mandatory for specific posts)
Tax Assistant: Must have a certificate for Marathi typing @ 30 wpm AND English typing @ 40 wpm.
Clerk-Typist: Must have a certificate for Marathi typing @ 30 wpm OR English typing @ 40 wpm.
C. Age Limit (as of February 1, 2026)
Minimum Age: 18 years (Tax Assistant) / 19 years (All other posts).
Maximum Age (General Category): 38 years.
Maximum Age (Reserved Categories/Orphans/Sportspersons): 43 years.
5. Selection Process
The selection process involves three stages:
Stage 1: Combined Preliminary Examination
Objective-type (MCQ) written exam for 100 marks.
Designed for screening to the next stage.
Stage 2: Main Examination
Conducted separately for different posts.
Total of 400 marks.
The score in the main exam is the deciding factor for the final merit list.
Stage 3: Typing Skill Test (Qualifying)
Only for Tax Assistant and Clerk-Typist candidates who clear the main exam.
Conducted on a computer and is qualifying in nature (marks are not added to the final score).
