✅ Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

Educational Qualification

  • SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) or its equivalent examination recognized by the Government of India or the Government of Kerala.

Driving License & Experience

  • Must have a valid Motor Driving License endorsed for all types of transport vehicles (LMV, HGMV & HPMV).

  • Must have an experience of not less than 3 years in driving motor vehicles.

Age Limit

  • Candidates must be between 23 and 36 years old.

  • Candidates born between 02.01.1989 and 01.01.2002 (both dates included) are eligible.


💪 Physical Standards and Efficiency Test

Candidates must meet specific physical standards and qualify in a Physical Efficiency Test.

Physical Standards

  • Height: Must not be less than 168 cms.

  • Chest: Minimum of 81 cms round the chest and must have an expansion of a minimum of 5 cms.

Medical/Health Standards

  • Ear: Hearing should be perfect.

  • Eye (Without Glasses):

    • Distant Vision: 6/6 Snellen (Right Eye & Left Eye)

    • Near Vision: 0.5 Snellen (Right Eye & Left Eye)

    • Colour Vision: Normal

    • Night Blindness: Nil

  • Muscles and joints: No paralysis and all joints with free movements.

  • Nervous System: Perfectly normal and free from any infectious diseases.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Events

Candidates must qualify in the following events:

  • 100 Meters Run: 14 Seconds

  • High Jump: 132.2 cm

  • Long Jump: 457.2 cm

  • Putting the Shot (7264 grams): 609.6 cm

  • Throwing the cricket ball: 6096 cm

  • Rope Climbing (only with hands): 365.8 cm

  • Pull Ups or chinning: 8 times

  • 1500 Meter Run: 5 minutes and 44 Seconds

This is the technical section focusing on Motor Vehicle laws, maintenance, and safe driving practices, which is crucial for the Forest Driver post.

  • Motor Vehicle Act & Rules: Detailed knowledge of the Indian Motor Vehicles Act and the rules, including registration, fitness, permits, and pollution control standards.

  • Traffic Rules and Signals: Understanding of road signs, traffic regulations, lane discipline, and rules for parking/overtaking.

  • Vehicle Maintenance: Basic knowledge of engine parts, cooling, lubrication, braking system, clutch, transmission, and troubleshooting minor defects common in Light, Heavy Goods (HGMV), and Heavy Passenger Motor Vehicles (HPMV).
