Job Summary

ISRO is hiring for the position of Assistant (Rajbhasha). This role is for various ISRO centers and the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST).

Who Can Apply?

You must be an Indian citizen and meet the following requirements as of October 2, 2025:

  • Age: You must be between 18 and 28 years old.

    • Age relaxation is provided for OBC (3 years) and ST (5 years) candidates for posts reserved for their category.

  • Education: You need a Bachelor's Degree with at least 60% marks or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale from a recognized university.

  • Skills: You must have a typing speed of 25 words per minute in Hindi on a computer and be proficient in using a computer. Knowledge of English typing is also a desired skill.


How to Apply

  1. Visit the ISRO website.

  2. Fill out the online application form.

  3. Upload all required documents, including your recent photograph, signature, and educational certificates, in the specified format.

  4. Pay the application fee of ₹500. This is required for all candidates initially.

    • The fee will be fully refunded to women, SC, ST, Ex-servicemen, and PwBD candidates.

    • Other candidates will receive a refund of ₹400, so the final fee is ₹100.

    • Note: The refund is only for those who take the written test.

  5. After submitting, save your registration number for future reference.


Selection Process

The selection process has two stages:

  1. Written Test: Candidates will be screened based on their application details and invited for a written test.

    • The test will be 120 minutes long and will be either pen-paper or computer-based.

    • You must pass each part of the test to be considered for the next stage.

  2. Skill Test: Based on the written test results, candidates will be shortlisted for a skill test in a 1:5 ratio (maximum) for each category.

    • The skill test includes a Computer Literacy Test and a Hindi Typing Test.

    • You must qualify in the skill test to be eligible for final selection.

    • Final selection will be based on your score in the written test.


Important Notes

  • You cannot make any changes to your application after it has been submitted.

  • The number of vacancies may change.

  • Final posting locations will be decided by SAC/ISRO, but you will be asked for your preference before or during the skill test.

  • If you work for the government or a public sector company, you will need to provide a 'No Objection Certificate' at the time of the skill test.
