1. Himachal Pradesh declared a 'fully literate' state.


  - Significance: This makes Himachal Pradesh the fifth state/UT to achieve this status under   the ULLAS (Understanding Lifelong Learning for All in Society) program. It is a major step in the country's education and development efforts.

   - Context: The literacy rate is measured by various surveys, including the Census and the Periodic Labour Force Survey. The national literacy rate in 2011 was 74%, and it had risen to 80.9% in 2023-24. Himachal Pradesh's achievement contributes to this national progress.

2.  First Digital Census of India to be held in 2027.

   - Context: HAL will gain the expertise to independently build SSLVs for both domestic and international markets, boosting India's capabilities in the global space industry.
