1. Afghanistan Earthquake: Following a magnitude 6 earthquake in eastern Afghanistan, aid teams are in a race against time to reach survivors. The UN's top aid official in the country reported that the death toll has exceeded 800, with at least 2,000 injured.  

2. India's Q1 GDP Growth: India's GDP for the first quarter grew by 7.8%, surpassing the Reserve Bank of India's projection of 6.5%. The services sector remained the primary driver of growth, and the manufacturing sector also saw an impressive 7.7% growth.  

3. China's Victory Day Parade: China held a military parade to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. The event was attended by leaders from Russia, Iran, and North Korea. Chinese President Xi Jinping used the occasion to criticize what he called "bullying behavior," while Russian President Vladimir Putin blamed the West for the war in Ukraine.  

4. DGCA Grants Certification to "Arjuna Drone": The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) granted a Type Certification to PRYMA Aerospace for its "Arjuna" drone. The drone is intended for deployment in agricultural applications across India. This certification follows the DGCA's recent approval of PRYMA's Drone School of Excellence as a Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO).  

5. Indian Rupee Hits All-Time Low: The Indian rupee fell to a historic low against the US dollar. Analysts cited speculative market bets, hedging demand, and global uncertainties as contributing factors. The slump was also influenced by renewed tariff threats from Donald Trump and rising crude oil prices.
