Candidates must fulfill the following criteria as of the closing date (11 November 2025). Age relaxation of up to 40 years is applicable for serving Government employees for all posts.

Candidates applying for the Fireman post must meet the following physical standards and clear the endurance tests to qualify.
Height: Minimum 165 cm (2.5 cm relaxation for ST and hilly area candidates).
Chest: Unexpanded minimum 81.5 cm, expanded minimum 85 cm.
Weight: Minimum 50 kg.
Fireman’s Lift: Carry a man weighing 63.5 kg for a distance of 183 meters in 96 seconds.
Long Jump: Long jump to clear a 2.7 meters wide ditch.
Rope Climb: Climb a 3 meters vertical rope using hands and feet.
Note: Failing the physical standards or the endurance test will result in the disqualification of the candidate. Other posts require physical fitness for duties but do not have these mandatory tests.
The selection process involves multiple stages:
Application Scrutiny: Initial screening of applications for eligibility and complete documentation.
Admit Card Issuance: Sent to shortlisted candidates for document verification and the written exam.
Document Verification: Conducted on the day of the examination (candidates must bring original and self-attested copies).
Written Examination:
Duration: 1 hour
Questions: 80 objective-type questions.
Marking: No negative marking.
Syllabus: General Knowledge, Mathematics, General English, and Trade-related questions.
Qualifying Marks (Written Exam):
General/UR: 50%
SC/ST: 45%
No relaxation is applicable for OBC and EWS categories.
Trade Test: Conducted for posts where skill assessment is required, only for those who qualify the written exam.
Final Merit List: Prepared solely based on the marks obtained in the written examination. The list will be published on the official website.

The final centers, dates, and timings will be communicated to the candidates through the Admit Card. The Coast Guard reserves the right to vary the centers based on the number of applicants.

No Objection Certificate (NOC), if currently employed in a Government job (must apply through proper channel).
Two recent passport-size color photographs.
A separate self-addressed envelope with a ₹50/- postal stamp pasted on it (for the return of documents).
Important Note: All enclosed certificates must be dated before the last application date (11 November 2025). Incomplete, incorrect, or late applications will be summarily rejected. SC/ST candidates called for the exam are eligible for travel reimbursement as per government rules.
